Volunteer Opportunities

IMPORTANT!: All new and prospective volunteers at Cheyenne Mountain State Park must complete the Volunteer Application. Within the application, you may select multiple areas of volunteer interest. With 48 hours volunteered within a year, you qualify for a Colorado State Parks pass for next year that is good for all state parks in Colorado.

Timber Tigers:

The Timber Tigers, led by board member Ralph Cadwaller, meet throughout the year to mitigate excess fuels within the park using proactive strategies to minimize the risk, intensity, and destructive impact of wildfires. Additionally, the Timber Tigers host the annual Christmas Tree Sale and Tree Recycling events in December and January, respectively.
